Multiple Teams · Varsity Baseball Falls to Roncalli

The Varsity team lost its second straight game to the Roncalli Rebels yesterday with a score of 7-1. The Raiders were able to get runners in scoring position but were not able to drive them in. Jake Purichia threw well going 5.1 innings in his first outing giving up only 2 earned runs. The Raiders had a chance to string something together down 4-0 when they had bases loaded with only one out in the sixth. Tommy Waites hit a shot into the outfield that score one run, and that was all the Raiders could get before giving up three more in the bottom of the sixth.

The Raiders next game will be Friday when they take on the Pike Red Devils at Pike High School. First pitch is scheduled for 5:00 and Kyle Matter will take the hill for Cardinal Ritter.
