Members of the Cardinal Ritter Football team had a resonating, “Wow, what a great experience” as they settled into the explanation of how the day went. Grant Shrack, Jeffrey Cmehil and Austin Kane each took time from their busy school day to help out with the children from the Peyton Manning Hospital. They also stated that the experience helped them realize how fortunate and blessed they are by God. They hoped that they shared a little laughter and brought a smile to the faces of the children they met today.
As one of the players stated, “It was great meeting Peyton Manning, but it was also a rewarding experience helping the young people that were there.” A big thank you goes out to Jon Grant for St. Vincent Sports Performance for the opportunity to help out with the event. St. Vincent provides our student athletes with immediate assistance with any injuries through our train Alice Rector. St. Vincent brought in a few athletes from surrounding schools as well. Our players were able to work with students athletes from Chatard, Brebeuf and Guerin Catholic. Thank you to Coach McClain and the guys who helped make this a special day for the children of Peyton Manning Hospital.
