Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · Varsity Boys Cross-Country Wins First Ever Indianapolis City Championship/Girls Varsity Finishes Sixth

The boys win the 2014 Cross-Country City Championship in dominate fashion beating Cathedral 25-36.  It was close midway through the race, then boys reached down and decided it was time to go, and go they did.  From Kyle Krieger coming from 16th to 11th and unleashing that amazing kick, Max Wehrle and Luke Schepers split the the third place runner like two young men on mission with Jacob Fierst following closely behind and within 200 meters the race was over as our boys finished 2nd Jona Odell, 3rd Jacob Fierst, 4th Max Wehrle, and Luke Schepers in 5th.  It was just not a win for Cardinal Ritter but for all the schools there.  It was amazing as every coach from the all other teams came up to me with a hug or handshake of congrats with most saying thank you which says it all.  It was like they were part of our victory and they were.
The Star of the Meet is all 7 boys!
Conner Schepers finished 6th in the freshmen race, Aiden Fierst finished 9th to earn a ribbon in the JV race, and Solomon Aaron got another PR, and Cam Houston finished 4th in the freshmen race! The girls ran well and finished 6th right behind Scecina.  Kendall Blake was 12th and Kendall Meyer ran his best race ever finishing 19th earning her the Star of the Meet. Grace Smith medaled and finished 6th in freshman race.
The teams will compete in the Indiana Cross-Roads Conference Tournament on Tuesday.
