The girls started off their Sectional journey with a decisive win over Brown County. The defense held the visitors to minimal shots and very few dangerous chances. The midfield did a great job of controlling the pace of the game and distributing the ball well. The forwards had a great work rate and were making dangerous runs all night. It was an all around solid performance. Goal scorers included Abby Downard (4), Leda Turpen (2), Emma Eifert (2), and Erin Lauer (1). There were 8 assists for the 9 goals in the game, which shows just how well the ball was moving around the field. Assists came from Haley Sullivan (3), Abby Downard (2), Erin Lauer (2), and Leda Turpen (1). This brings the overall record to 12-6. The Raiders continue on their drive to win Sectionals on Thursday night at 7 against conference foe, Monrovia.
