The freshmen Raiders played a hard fought game against Northview last night, losing 12-0. Despite the score these young men have shown just how far they’ve come since the start of the season.
Mitchell Wilson ran the ball hard the entire game. His efforts helped turn a third and long into a first down late in the first half. Jack Henninger played very well at the quarterback position with key completions to Parker Meade and Aiden Robinson. The offensive line continued improve and play better while fighting hard in the trenches.
The defense also continued to show their strengths throughout the game. Ahmad Abdur and Mark Kibirige made some big plays at corner. Nicholas Salmon helped to end a Northview drive by picking off a pass and returning it past midfield.
The will and grit of the freshmen team was evident in last night’s game. These young men have proven that they want to become the best players that they can be. We look to continue this improvement next Monday and Pendleton Heights.
