The Cardinal Ritter boys basketball team defeated the Northwest Space Pionners 70-68 on Wednesday night with a key put back bucket from Junior Ange Gnamkey at the buzzer. After trailing at the end of the 1st, The Raiders responded with a powerful 22-point second quarter on the strength of a 16-3 run. From there the Raiders pulled ahead and eventually garnered a 38-31 lead by halftime.
Sophomore Nate Soltis led the charge for the Raider offense, scoring 19 points, with seven points during the first period. He also contributed ten rebounds and three steals. Three other players also racked up double digit scores for the Raiders. JV used a strong defensive effort in the 2nd period to improve to 5-0 on the season beating Northwest 55-50.
