The Raider Volleyball Team hosted Covenant Christian and swept the Warriors 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-11). Prior to the start of the varsity match, the team honored seniors Griffin Koester and Lucas Roberts. Griffin has been a part of the program since their inaugural season in the spring of 2015. Griffin is one of the founding members of the “DS squad” – the name affectionately given to players who only play in the back row – specializing in defensive skills. Lucas Roberts is completing his second year in the program. Lucas is an Outside Hitter for the team. Despite his smaller stature, Lucas capitalizes on his unique ability to see the court better than most players, what he lacks in height he is able to make up for by varied ball placement.
