The Cardinal Ritter baseball team beat the Irvington Prep Ravens 20-0 on Friday night. With the blow out win, the Raiders were able to sub in a handful of JV players to get some varsity experience. Henry “Napalm” Woodcock started the game on the mound and threw 27 total pitches with 26 strikes, thus earning his nickname with his only ball being a hit by pitch.
The offense hit the ball all over the place with Alex “The Sticky Bandit” Vela going 2-2 with 4 RBI and stealing 3 bags. Jake “The Snake” Kluemper also went 2-2 with 2 RBI and 3 SB. Blake “Hot Mustard” Malatestinic went 2-2 with 2 RBI, Autry “Galloping” Gaynor went 2-3 with 2 RBI and Woodcock went 2-2 with an RBI. Also with hits on the day were Kyle “Kay Pee-Zee” Price, Luke “The Laser” Shearer, Dillon “Rube” Olejnik, Damien Wallace, LaRon Fleming, Bryce “Black and Blue” Giebel, and freshman, Jack Henninger.
