The beginning of the College season is upon us and with that many former Raiders are in college competing in their respective sports making the Raider Nation proud. Two such individuals that have been making some noise in the Indianapolis area are Redshirt Junior Jake Purichia and Freshman Trevor Browder.
Purichia has been under center for University of Indianapolis the past two years as the starter. An injury in the middle of the last year shortened his successful season, but he has picked up where he left off and has even improved. The Cardinal Ritter record holder for touchdowns, completion percentage and passing yards has been named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week. In his last game, he threw for 342 yards with 4 touchdowns while adding 105 yards on the ground. Purichia is 60-84 for 939 yards and 9 touchdowns in only 4 games and is second on the team in rushing with 193 yards. His completion percentage is an elite 71.43% on the year.

Browder is making waves as a freshman at Marian University as he was just named the scout team player of the week for the Knights. This experience as a freshman will transfer to his future years at Marian and will be invaluable to his college career.
