Mary Anna And Mariah Wehrle represented the Cardinal Ritter Cross Country Teams as they competed in the IHSAA Semi-State Championship in Shelbyville on Saturday morning. Mariah Wehrle ran well finishing with her second best time of the year as Coach Ford says, he was “very proud of the way she competed.” However, her season came to an end as she finished just outside of qualifying for the State Final.
Mary Anna Wehrle ran her best race of her career shattering her previous PR coming in with an 18:18.1. This was good enough for 5th place overall and 2nd best out of runners from a non-qualifying team. This also gives her the opportunity to compete in the IHSAA State Championship on Saturday morning.
The final meet will take place at the LaVern Gibson Championship Country Course in the Wabash Valley Sports Center in Terre Haute at 1:45. All tickets are $10 a person. Go down and support Mary Anna and the Raiders!!
