The Cardinal Ritter Boys Basketball Team got their first opportunity to play against an opponent on Wednesday night as they traveled to Tri-West to take on the Bruins in a scrimmage game. With it being a controlled scrimmage the score is reset after each period. The Raiders won the first quarter. After losing the second, they tied the third and came back strong to win the 4th. Adding up the scores for the entire game, the Raiders outscored the Bruins 77-68.
Joey “Gamer” Gruber led Cardinal Ritter in scoring with 20 points. Daion Daniels, Miles Tracy and Nate Soltis each added 14 points a piece.
The scheduled game against Brebeuf on Tuesday has been postponed because of the Braves involvement with the Football State Tournament. Therefore, the first game of the season will take place December 1st at home against Indy Met.
