The Raiders Baseball Team came one step closer to a Indiana Crossroads Conference Title on Senior Night when they gave a complete beat down to the Triton Central Tigers in a 12-0 win. Before the game, both the softball and baseball teams honored their seniors for their dedication to the sport they love. Seniors Kyle “Kay Pee-Zee” Price, Jake Allard, Gus “Bus” Esterline, Luke “The Laser” Shearer, Jake “The Snake” Kluemper, Dillon “Rube” Olejnik and Henry “H-Bomb” Woodcock were cheered on by the Raider Nation. After they were announced one of each player’s parents threw out the ceremonial first pitches.
Shearer got the start on the bump and pitched one of his best games of the year striking out 6 and only allowing 5 scattered hits in the complete game, shutout, win.
Kluemper led the offense going 4 for 4 with 3 RBI. Woodcock and Joey “Gamer” Gruber each added 2 hits and an RBI. Esterline had a great day at the plate with a 3 RBI triple down into right field. Damien “Llama” Wallace also had an RBI single.
