Girls Varsity Golf · Lady Raiders At Ben Davis Invitational

The Lady Raiders golfers competed Saturday in the Ben Davis Invitational, played at south Grove Golf Course in Indianapolis. On a beautiful day for golf, the Raiders finished with a score of 404, which put them in thirteenth place out of eighteen teams. The Raiders finished ahead of Connersville, Lawrence Central, Franklin Cent, Pike, and Warren Central.

Leading the scoring for Cardinal Ritter was senior Madison “Hole In One” Hurrle with a 93, followed by fellow senior Annie “Member’s Bounce” Melton with 96, sophomore Lydia Schembre with 100, and junior Elena Closser with 115. Junior Emily Lanie rounded out the scoring with a 124.

The Lady Raiders have a busy schedule this next week. On Tuesday they travel to Knightstown for a 4-way match with Knightstown, Lawrence Central, and Lapel. Then on Thursday they play Heritage Christian at South Grove, starting at 4:00 pm. And finally on Saturday the travel to the south side for the Roncalli Invitational at Smock Golf Course, with a 1:00 pm start time.
