The Cardinal Ritter Girls and Boys Bowling Teams started out their seasons this year with a tough loss for both squads. They both suffered losses, 2-18 for each, with the girls taking on Brownsburg, and the boys taking on Warren Central.
Individually, for the boys, Gabe Pontones bowled a personal best at 182, and was the only boy to score against the Warren Central team. Stephen Starsiak also bowled a personal best at 151, but was no match against his Warren Central opponent. For the girls, Emily Lanie and Alexys Taylor were able to score against their opponents as well in the first game, scoring 161 for Emily, and 197 for Alexys. The second game was shut out for our girls, unfortunately.
All of our players learned a lot in their first match, and we look forward to our next match on November 1 at Woodland Bowl, where the girls take on Ben Davis, and the boys take on Brebeuf.
