Girls Junior Varsity Basketball, Girls Varsity Basketball · Girls B-Ball Takes On Top 10 Team

On Saturday night the Lady Raiders Basketball Teams travelled to Danville to take on a top 10 3A ranked opponent in the Lady Warriors.  Even though Cardinal Ritter was short players, the girls battled all night.

The Varsity Team went into halftime trailing 21-18.  After a turnover filled start to the third quarter, the girls continued to hang tough and trailed 31-27.  The fourth quarter proved to be the difference as Danville pulled away to win 47-32.

The Lady Raiders record moves to 3-1 on the season with a home game this Wednesday night versus Roncalli.  The team led in scoring by Meghan “Sure Shot” Sandifer with 17 points.  Credit Elena Closser with a good floor game on the evening.

Your JV Lady Raiders were also short staffed due to injury and players on retreat. A valiant effort was made against a talented Danville team but it wasn’t enough.  The Warriors prevailed 35-21. Megan McCall led all scores with 8 while freshman Liv Webb added 6.
