Multiple Teams · Raiders Take Eagles Down

The Cardinal Ritter Raiders Boys Basketball team defeated The Heritage Christian Eagles by the final of 62-47.  The Raiders jumped out to a 25-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, and never looked back.  The Raiders defense was suffocating making it difficult for the Eagles to get into an offensive flow.  Cardinal Ritter Senior “Nasty” Nate Soltis led the Raiders offense with 26 points on the night including 20 in the first half.  Dan “O-Mite” Bayler also reached double figures finishing with 11 on the game.  Joey “Gamer” Gruber and Damon “Old Oak” Oagletree were other Raiders contributing in the scoring column who both finished with 8 points.

The JV Raiders lost a heart breaker to Heritage Christian by the final 36-34.  “The” LaDarryl Woods led the JV with 19 points and fell just short on the game winning bucket.  The JV Raiders battled back from down 10 at halftime.
The Freshman Raiders struggled vs the Freshman Eagles losing 27-55.  Kemari Robinson led the Raiders with 7.
All 3 teams will be back in action on Friday at home vs Crispus Attucks.  Freshman will start at 430, JV will tip at 6, and Varsity will follow at 730.  Make sure you come out and support the Raiders.
