Multiple Teams · Raiders Beat Scecina; Stay Undefeated In ICC Play

The Cardinal Ritter Raiders Basketball Team beat the Scecina Crusaders 97-37 on Saturday night to move to 4-0 in Conference play. Prior to the game, “Nasty” Nate Soltis was presented an award to commemorate his achievement of scoring 1,000 points by Coach Moore and Mr. Pelych, which put the team and the crowd into high gear.

The Raiders were led by Junior Damon “Old Oak” Oagletree, Jr’s 18 points and 11 rebounds.  All 5 Raider starters joined Oagletree in double figures with Dan “O-Mite” Bayler getting 16, Joey “Gamer” Gruber with 15, Soltis with 14, and Aidan Cannon adding 10.

The JV Raiders also best Scecina by the final of 45-34. Will Sandifer led with 14 points, and Rodney Adams added 13 to lead the JV Raiders.

The freshman started the sweep with a 58-47 win over the Crusaders.  Austin Sultzer led with 18 points and Nate Sims finished with 12.

Raiders will be back in action Jan 11th vs University.  JV will start at 6, and Varsity will start at 730.  It’s Night Watch night so that means we will also have our 3rd annual Silent night game.  Make sure you make it out to support the Raiders!
