The Cardinal Ritter Raiders took to the links at Eagle Creek Golf Course Saturday, hosting the 2019 Ritter Classic Invitational. Eleven other teams joined the Raiders on a chilly April morning for our first 18-holer of the year. With the temperature in the low 40’s for the 8:00 am start time, 59 golfers defied the cold to take on the challenging Pines Course. By the end of the round, Bloomington North had the hot sticks to take home the team trophy with a score of 307, followed by Perry Meridian (328), Lapel (346), University (360), Covenant Christian (362), Decatur Central (370), Cardinal Ritter (383), Franklin Central (397), Lutheran (417), Cascade (435), Southport (436), and Warren Central (454).
Medalist honors went to Jace Day of Bloomington North with an even par 72, followed by Luke Moriarty of Perry Meridian (74), Logan Vernon of Bloomington North (75), Kevin “Tap In” Tillery of Cardinal Ritter (77), and Evan Todd of Bloomington North (78). Helping Tillery carry the team to their seventh place finish were Reed “The Terrapin” Turpin (92), Austin Mohr and John Wagoner.
