The Cardinal Ritter varsity volleyball team won the first round of the City tournament by defeating Washington Monday night. The Raiders defeated the Sentinels in three sets 25-6, 25-3, and 25-8.
“Raking” Riley Heim lead the Raiders offensively last night with 7 kills while Alexis Priesthoff had 5 kills. Audrey Odier, Morgan Schabel, Kelsey “Wild Card” Waggoner, and Mackenzie Grzegorzewski all added 4 kills for the Raiders. From the service line the Raiders were lead by Linsey “Say Hey” Waggoner, Maggie Cmehil, and Lauren “Steamin” Beaman all with 4 aces. Priesthoff ran the offense for the the Raiders with 14 assists while Megan Van Gheem had 11 assists.
The Raiders will take on the Crusaders from Scecina Tuesday night at home.
