The Lady Raiders were home on Saturday to host Indiana Crossroads Conference opponent, the Lutheran Saints. The Raiders jumped out to an early lead with hot shooting from Gabby “Heat Check” Hicks and Meghan “Sure Shot” Sandifer. Cardinal Ritter led after one quarter 25-5. In the second quarter, the Raiders took advantage of several Lutheran turnovers to continue to expand its lead to 42-7 at halftime.
Maddie Sandifer came off the bench to score 7 second quarter points. The second half was more of the same for the Lady Raiders as they were able to overwhelm the Saints and closed out the contest 71-19.
This moves the Lady Raiders to 5-3 on the season and an upcoming contest Tuesday night at Monrovia. Ritter had balance scoring with four girls in double figures. Meghan Sandifer led the way with 12 points, Hicks with 11 and Emma “Lights Out” Litzelman and Kelsey “Wild Card” Waggoner with 10 points each.
