The Cardinal Ritter Boys Basketball Team played on back to back nights as they won against Indy Met Friday and traveled to Heritage Christian to take on the Eagles on Saturday. The Raiders went cold in the 2nd half losing 38-34. After jumping out to a 9-0 lead to start the game, the Raiders controlled the entire first half and most of the 3rd quarter before the shooting woes caught up.
Senior, Damon “Old Oak” Ogletree, Jr. led the team with another double-double on the seaosn with 11 points and 13 rebounds while sophomore, Austin Sultzer added 9 points.
The JV Team was in action also but came up short 39- 42. Freshman Josh Adams had a good look to force overtime, but the ball rimmed out.
The Freshman Raiders kicked off the night with a dramatic 39-38 loss in overtime. Carson Vrabel hit a huge go ahead 3 with less than 10 seconds remaining, but the Eagles were able to hit a layup on an out of bounds play that allowed them to steal the “W.”
All three teams will be back in action again as they travel to Crispus Attucks to take on the Tigers on Friday, Dec. 13th. Freshman will start at 4:30 with JV set to start at 6 and Varsity to follow.
