Our Cardinal Ritter Girls and Boys Bowling Teams participated in the Indy Northwest Sectional Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Western Bowl. The day started with each member of the team bowling 3 individual games in the morning. Then our boys and girls teams participated in 12 Baker’s game for the team event in the afternoon.
Ethyn Fleischmann had his best game ever of 231, causing him to advance to the step-ladder championship to determine the singles sectional champion. In the end, he claimed the fourth spot for the day.
Other top singles scores for the boys include “Captain Calculus” Trae Rott 211, Sam Hood 202, “Hanging With” John Cooper 172, and Brenden Burtz 149. For the girls, Emily Lanie ended up #6 for sectional play, and had a high game of 185.
The Raiders bowlers will be advancing three individuals to Regionals next week: Rott, Fleischmann, and our first Cardinal Ritter girl to qualify for Regionals, Emily Lanie. Regional Competition is next Saturday, January 18 at Noblesville Bowl 32 starting at 8:00 AM for singles events.
The Baker’s games in the afternoon use a total pin score to determine team ranking. Our boys placed #6 with a total score of 1845 and our girls placed #4 with a total score of 1470.
For the Conference Awards, Rott took home the high game with a 299, second high series with a 481, and qualified for the Conference team. The Indy Northwest conference match will take place Feb 15 at 1:00 at All Star Bowl.
