News · Lady Raiders Place 4th At Sectionals; Set 4 New School Records


Congratulations to the Swimming & Diving Lady Raiders for a GREAT season; placing 4th in the Brownsburg Sectional on Saturday.  The ladies also set 4 new school records on Saturday in an exciting season ending meet. 

Ladies placing & scoring points  for the Raiders were Julia “Streamline” Sheringer, Megan Westrick, Zoe “Vigorous” Viglietta & Alexis “Precision” Priestoff in the 200 Medley Relay, setting a new school record. The 400 Free Relay of Sheringer, Mariah “MHR” Wehrle, Viglietta & Priestoff placed 4th & set a new school record as well.

The 200 Free Relay of Senior, Maria Egenolf, Senior,Wehrle, Sophomore, Abby Nagy & Junior, Westrick placed 8th & finished with a season best time. Wehrle was able to finish her season off by swimming 2 personal best times in the 200 & 500 Free finishing 9th in both events.  Sheringer finished her high school career with a person best time in the 200 IM & placing 8th; while finishing 10th in the 100 butterfly. Viglietta, enjoyed her last meet as a Raider placing 11th in the 100 butterfly & 13th in the 200 IM.

Junior, Priestoff, had 2 personal best times in the 50 & 100 free while placing 8th in both events & setting a new school record in the 50 Free. Westrick, placed 16th in the 200 IM, while placing 10th & setting a new school record in the 100 Breaststroke. Nagy, had a great meet while she was able to swim a personal best/season best time in her 100 Backstroke placing 13th.  

The Raider Divers were successful on the boards all year and did not disappoint  yesterday. All 3 ladies, Emila Valle, Hannah “Kick” Wells, & Sophie “Queen” Konger were new to diving in October but were able to learn a new sport & place 7th, 8th & 8th for the Raiders.
