The Cardinal Ritter Varsity Boys Basketball Team defeated the Triton Central Tigers 80-60 on Friday, 2/14. The Raiders were fueled by a strong 2nd period where they outscored the Tigers 26-12, and entered the half up 22. The CRHS defense was active forcing several Tiger turnovers, and creating great scoring opportunities for the Raiders.
Damon “Old Oak” Ogletree continued his normal double double production with a game high 18 points and 10 rebounds. Ogletree did most of this while facing double and triple teams the majority of the night.
Aidan Cannon found his shooting stroke early and finished the game with 17. “The Lion” Zion Williams added 14 points, 4 assist, and 3 steals. Jordan Turner was a swiss army knife contributing in various ways offensively. Turner ended with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assist, and 2 steals. Will Sandifer provided a spark off the bench with 9 points, and Rodney Adams and Austin Sultzer finished with 5. Sultzer was very active setting his teammates up for shots and finished the night with 8 assists.
This win moves the Raiders to 3-3 in conference play, and their first back to back wins of the season. Great progress for this young group of Raiders.
The team will be back in action Tuesday for the rescheduled game against Beech Grove. JV starts at 6:00 with the Varsity tip-off 20 minutes after the JV end.
