Lucy Fultz is our next highlighted senior for the Spring Sports Senior Showcase. Lucy has been a mainstay for the tennis team the past couple of years, mainly working in doubles. She is a compassion individual that is always looking to see what she can do for others.
Coach Rubey said of her, “Lucy was planning to try singles for the first part of the season and we were so excited to see her fight and tenacity shine. She has worked hard in off season workouts and it has been so fun watching her develop her game and her confidence. She loves to move forward!! She worked so well with Olivia last year that we wanted to see how she could translate that experience into success on the singles court.”
Coach Allen added, “Lucy certainly embraced her role as a varsity player and definitely has the right fight & tenacious spirit on the court to win.”
A little more about Lucy:
Her parents are Bridget and Craig Fultz (mother and father)
Next year she plans on attending Purdue University to study Kinesiology on the Pre-Physical Therapy track then become a Physical Therapist.
Her most memorable experiences at Cardinal Ritter were going to Riley Dance Marathon all four years with my best friends to raise money for the kids and eating 10 clementines before a tennis match with Olivia Houston and wanting to throw up the entire match.
Lucy said, “I will miss our hype up circles before every match.”
She added, “I would like to thank my parents for always supporting me, Olivia for being the best doubles partner of all time, Coach Allen and Coach Rubey for giving the best pep talks, my teammates Mackenzie, Lauren, Annie, and Olivia for being rays of sunshine on and off the court, and my best friends Lauryn, MaryAnna, and Maria for coming to all the matches.
Thank you Lucy!
