Annie Waters is our next senior showcase and our last Girls Tennis feature. Annie has been part of the Raider family for years as she has had siblings come through Cardinal Ritter as well as her mom he teaches at the high school. Annie has always showed school spirit and has been a supporter of her teammates and classmates in other sports. She is a vocal leader at Raiders athletic events and is always out there with a smile on her face.
Coach Rubey echoed these sentiments saying, “Annie had some big Katie Waters shoes to fill and she has done so impressively. She too has been a doubles standout and so eager to play and learn the game with her friends; her lefty speed has been key to her development as a player and her willingness to do whatever it took — in any category — will be missed next year. Annie, one of our few lefties, certainly had the brightest smile and wonderful disposition on and off the court!! Her willingness to learn the game and put in the time to get better was extremely remarkable.”
Here is a little more about Annie:
Her Parents are Linda and Mike Waters
Her future plans are to attend University of Dayton to study dietetics and become a dietician.
Her most memorable Cardinal Ritter expreinces were gooning everyday with her OGs-you know who you are and when we turned up at the Culver game and when we started a dance revolution at the Rushville Meet
What she will miss most is cracking jokes with Mariah Wehrle
