The Lady Raiders Soccer Squad opened up Indiana Crossroads Conference play Monday night against the Monrovia Bulldogs. After a brief delay due to thunder, the girls went on the attack early. Emma “Lights Out” Litzelman had a great goal to start off the scoring in the 17th minute, assisted by Caitlin Brown-Bravo.
The Lady Raiders had many opportunities throughout the first half, but unfortunately were unable to convert any more. In the second half, Litzelman returned the favor, playing a beautiful through ball which Brown-Bravo was able to convert to put the team up 2-0. In the 63rd minute, it was the underclassmen’s time to shine, as freshman Maddie Westrick scored off an assist from sophomore Jordan Hinkle to put the final scoreline at 3-0.
The girls continue conference play on Thursday as they travel to Cascade.
