Boys Varsity Cross Country, Girls Varsity Cross Country · Cross Country Dominates Raider Invite

Tuesday, the Cardinal Ritter Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams brought 7 teams over to Riverside Park for their annual Raider Invite.  All of Cardinal Ritter runners ran very well which is evident by the thePRs the teams had and the outstanding times of all the runners despite the course being traditionally the very slow.

Jenna “Set Up And Go” Gruber won the girls race in a course record of 19:38.  Hannah “Kick” Wells also was excellent as she ran almost a minute faster than the same meet last year, placing second.  Sarah Jacob ran two minutes faster than she did on the same course last week which is great news and forebodes well for the rest of the season.

Paul “Streaker” and Wil “Stride” Stamm went 1-2 for 4th time in row this year, with both running very well.  Paul also broke the course record of 16:11 which is incredible on this course.  The boys won the meet with a perfect score going 1,2,3,4, & 5.   Nicholas Mark placed 3rd, Ethan Lettich 4th with a PR time of 19:34, and Aaron Anderson placed 5th.  Ivan Miller ran a great race as he destroyed his PR!  Dom Oaldon ran very strong as he nearly had a PR and finishing out while freshman sensation, Billy Macleod, ran fast and had a PR.

Coach Ford said of the day, “It went very well and the runners enjoyed receiving ribbons and their names announced after the meet.”

Great job Raiders!
