After a long break and several reschedules, our Ritter Bowlers were back in their natural element representing Cardinal Ritter’s grit through friendly competition. The boys and girls faced Brebeuf, and showed their bowling skills. The boys managed to capture 4 points, losing to Brebeuf 4-16. Their record so far is 1 win and 6 losses. The coaches are so proud of the boys who are showing their dedication after losing so many seniors last year. The girls beat Brebeuf 11-9, in a close victory. They took all points in the first match, but struggled in the second match. Adina “King Pin” Gros was able to secure a point for the Lady Raiders, which gave them the edge in the match overall. Their record so far is 2 wins and 5 losses.
The Raider bowling team is struggling with the pandemic due to reschedules and cancelled practices, but they are all smiles and showing their strength when it comes down to showing their school spirit. The bowlers have a lot to be proud of this season, and look forward to their next match next Thursday, January 21 at Woodland Bowl. Spectators are limited, but we can all still cheer on our Ritter bowlers from afar. It’s always a great day to be a Raider!
