The Indiana Crossroads Conference coaches recently voted on who the best girls basketball players in the conference. The Lady Raiders were fortunate to have 2 players named to the team. Those two were Emma “Lights Out” Litzelman and Kelsey “Wild Card” Waggoner.
Litzelman as one of the best players in Cardinal Ritter history. In her four years she was able to reach the 1,000 point mark for her career. Something that has only been done 4 times in Lady Raiders history. In many games she was flat out dominant. Her ability to take over a game and hit clutch shots down the stretch was vital in the Lady Raiders success during her career.
Waggoner was a great “Robin” to Litzelman’s “Batman.” Each of them played off of each other and if one had a short slump during the game, the other would pick it up. Most of the time both were on fire and it helped propel the Lady Raiders throughout the season. Waggoner has a unique ability to take over a game. It can happen at any time, but when she gets rolling, she is unstoppable.
