The Cardinal Ritter Softball Team bounced back from their Friday loss against a formidable Tri West team by beating 4A Ben Davis on Monday, 14-9. The Lady Raiders went on a hit parade raking up double digit hits in the win. These weren’t bunts or dinkers, but instead hard hit lasers and dingers as CRHS dropped 4 bombs on the day. Even the outs were loud line drives all over the field. As the weather is heating up, the Lady Raiders bats have as well.
Lauren “Steamin'” Beaman toed the rubber and had 11 strikeouts on the day. She also was dominant at the plate as she went 3 for 4. “Raking” Riley Heim did what she does, she absolutely raked going 4 for 5 with 2 going over the fence. Alexis “Pepper” Priesthoff played pepper all day deciding she didn’t want to get out as she went 3 for 3 with a home run. Kelsey “Wild Card” Waggoner started the scoring in the first. The crack of her bat broke necks went she went yard on a two run missile that left so fast, if you blinked you missed it as she finished 3 for 4 with 4 RBI. Abby “Boom” Blastic went 2 for 4 while Emma “On The” Hunt, and the “McTwins” of Emma McKee and Megan McCall “Me Maybe” all added hits.
The Lady Raiders are back in action Tuesday night as they take on Indiana Crossroads Conference opponents Beech Grove at 5:30 at home.
